Other Types of Automatic Computing Machines, SECTION V. Miniature Computers and their Use in Training, SECTION VI. Some Large-Scale Automatic Digital Computers, SECTION VII. Applications of Automatic Computing Machines (scientific, laboratories, government, military installations and many business markets), and SECTION VIII. Miscellaneous (References, Roster of Organizations Making Automatic Computing Machines, Roster of Automatic Computing Services, Glossary of Terms and Expressions, and Index. Section I offers an interesting and now historical, six-page listing of automatic computers, with their manufacturer and location of the computer, from ABC (Automatic Binary Computer, Air Force Cambridge Research Center in Massachusetts) to Zuse Model IV / Konrad G. Zuse (Neukirchen, Germany, located at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich). Section V discusses (with photos) Simon, the miniature automatic digital computer first constructed in 1950 and capable, at the time of publication, of dealing with numbers up to 255 and performing some nine reasonable operations, diagrams for which are included.: 08510:
