The jacket was folded twice, creating three creases, and put inside the book. The creases run vertical on the front panel, spine, and rear panel. Otherwise the jacket has a little toning or browning along the top edge of the front panel. The jacket is now in Mylar protective cover. The author inscribed the book on the front free endpaper: "Estella Garron Perlitz with love from her cousin, Virginia Bullock-Willis." Beneath the inscription is what appears to be a child's drawing.: 05687:
