Very scarce Delhi, India periodical offering a snapshot in time of entertainment, dining, and other cultural options in Delhi one week in 1970. Contents also list churches, tips for tourists, a medical guide, and more. The last page features an article about tiger hunting in the jungles of India. Front cover ads for a beauty salon and Japan Air Lines, while the rear cover shows a full-page ad for a Ravi Shankar concert at Sapru House, New Delhi. Shankar, a master (Pandit) musician and composer had a big influence on Western pop music in the 1960s, particularly with George Harrison and the Beatles. 32 pages with illustrations and ads. Fold-out map of Delhi at the center of the stapled booklet. Rubbing and chipping wear. All pages intact. Several pages show an item of interested circled in ink by the previous owner. Although the Delhi Diary continues to this day in an online and eMagazine format, we cannot find any back issues of the print publication for sale online, let alone one from as far back as 1970. Back issues from that or any era appear to be very scarce.
