The first printing was October 1946 and this is the second printing from that same month. Mild wear to boards with a small tear to the top edge of the rear cover. The dust jacket has some edge wear and rubbing to the extremities and the rear panel. Protected now in a Mylar sleeve. A Broadway entertainer and comedian's memoir with many stories about many entertainers he's known in his career (first half of the 20th century). 336 pages with 80 cartoon illustrations by 18 different artists, some of whom were celebrities themselves (Xavier Cugat, Zero Mostel, etc.). Four Forewords: Hon. Fiorello H. La Guardia, Toots Shor, Frank Sinatra, Gypsy Rose Lee, and Earl Wilson. Signed by the author on the front free endpaper: "Sholóm! / Joey Adams."
