Just a touch of shelf wear. Some pencil notation from the previous owner on the copyright page and address label of W.E. Belt of Flatonia, Texas on the dedication page. The dust jacket has edge wear, creases, and tears. The bottom edge of the front panel has a small piece torn out that affects the editor's last name printed near the bottom. Protected now in a Mylar sleeve. Limitation copy (56/175) that includes a postal cancellation on the half-title page with slogan tied to two Texas-related postage stamps: 3-cent Texas Centennial (1936) and a 22-cent San Jacinto 1836 stamp (1986). The circle cancellation states "Medina Battlefield Station, Leming, Texas 18 AUG 1988" and the accompanying slogan states "175th Anniversary 1813-1988, The Final Battle of the First Texas Revolution." Signed on same page by editor Robert Thonhoff. 201 pages with Endnotes, Bibliography, and Index, Illustrated with endpaper maps and vignette drawings by Jack Jackson.
