A nice clean copy of this comprehensive history with an outstanding collection of autographs from famous circus stars of the past, the most prominent being that of the legendary Karl Wallenda (1905-1978) on the copyright page. Most, if not all, of the autographs in this book appear to have been collected at the 1959 Police Circus in St. Louis, Missouri. The circus was produced by Al Dobritch, who has also signed the book. Signatures are from the Flying Wallendas (Karl Wallenda, Mario K. Wallenda, Carla Jordan Wallenda); The Flying Malkos (June Malko, Mike Malko), and four members from The Seven Ashtons (Douglas Ashton, Stanley Ashton, Jackie Ashton, and Goldie Ashton), and the following individuals: Al Dobritch, Lola Dobritch, Rose Gold, Tony Steele, Bill Bentlage, Tony Dorchester, Pietro Bizarro Droj, Belig Ezsias. A couple of names are illegible. Rose Gold appears to have signed her name two or three times. A rare collection of signatures from top circus performers in mid-twentieth century.
