Light soiling to endpapers. Jacket edge-worn and chipped. Protected now in a Mylar sleeve. Story of Diana Oughton, a member of the 1960s radical group Weathermen, who was killed in a Greenwich Village townhome by a bomb of her own making in 1970. The bomb she and two others were constructing was to have been detonated at Fort Dix during a dance for noncommissioned officers. Three members of the Weathermen were killed in the explosion. Diana was the girlfriend of fellow Weathermen member Bill Ayers. The author Thomas Powers, together with Lucinda Franks, won the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 1971 for his documentary on Diana Oughton, the title for which is the title of this book.
