A title in the Wee Books for Wee Folks series. Publication date not stated, but 1918 per Cary Sternick's "The Henry Altemus Company: A History and Pictorial Bibliography," (2005). Cloth spine split along the rear cover side. Edge wear, worn corners, and a small piece of the green letter "O" in SAMBO on the front cover is missing. Hinges just starting to crack. A child's name is written in the ownership space printed on the front free endpaper. Otherwise, the pages are free of any writing, but some show a slight soiling. Sixty-three pages followed by four pages of the publisher's ads for the series, Wee Books for Wee Folks. Full-page, color illustrations. The illustrations are not credited in this edition, but they resemble author/illustrator Bannerman's illustrations in the original 1899 edition.
